Inasmuch Foundation Announces
$325,000 in Grants to Colorado Organizations
(Oklahoma City) ----
The Inasmuch Foundation announced today the distribution of $140,500 in
grants to 16 organizations in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Edith Kinney Gaylord
founded the Inasmuch Foundation in 1982 to support charitable,
scientific and educational causes that enhance the progress and quality
of life for all individuals. Today, the Foundation is committed to
carrying on the interests of its late founder by giving to education,
health and human services, cultural organizations, the arts, historic
preservation and environmental concerns.
“The Inasmuch
Foundation is proud to support so many wonderful institutions in El Paso
County,” said Robert J. Ross, President and CEO of the Inasmuch
Foundation. “We hope that the grants announced today encourage others
to support these organizations that are truly making a difference in the
lives of thousands of citizens in the Colorado Springs area.”
Organizations awarded
grants from the Inasmuch Foundation include:

$20,000
to TESSA for the Prevention Education Program that teaches middle and
high school students and provides education on dating violence and
sexual assault prevention.
·
$15,000
to Partners in Housing for a fulltime Development Associate to assist in
grant research, writing, and reporting.
·
$10,000
to CASA of the Pikes Peak Region for the Supervise Exchange/Parenting
Time program to provide exchanges and parenting time as an extension of
the Court in a safe, non-threatening environment.
·
$10,000
to Cheyenne Village for the Healthcare Coordination Program by adding a
part-time healthcare coordinator position to the Supported Living Team
providing support to independent living individuals.
·
$10,000
to Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region for the Scholarship/Continuing
Education Resource Program for low income and minority youth and parents
of youth.
·
$10,000
to Urban Peak Colorado Springs to provide transitional housing services
for homeless and runaway youth in the Pikes Peak Region.
·
$10,000
to Wells Foundation for the Performing Arts for scholarships for
students of the Colorado Springs Conservatory.
·
Additional Grants include: Rebuilding Together Colorado Springs -
$8,000; Girl Scouts - Wagon Wheel Council - $7,500; Kennedy Center
Imagination Celebration - $7,500; Citizens Project - $7,000; Pikes Peak
Community Action Agency - $6,000; Northern Churches Care - $5,000; Pikes
Peak Community Foundation - $5,000; Pikes Peak United Way - $5,000; and
Pikes Peak Mental Health Center Systems - $4,500.
