Inasmuch Foundation Announces

$6.13 Million in Grants to Colorado Organizations

(Oklahoma City) --- Robert J. Ross, President and CEO of Inasmuch Foundation, announced today the distribution of $6.13 million in grants to 10 organizations in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Edith Kinney Gaylord founded Inasmuch Foundation in 1982 to support charitable, scientific and educational causes that enhance the progress and quality of life for Oklahomans. Today, the Foundation is committed to carrying on the interests of its late founder by giving to education, health and human services, cultural organizations, the arts, historic preservation and environmental concerns.

Organizations awarded grants from Inasmuch Foundation are:

$6 million to Colorado College for the Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center. Combined with an earlier grant of $4 million, the total commitment to this project is $10 million.

$50,000 to Friends of the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum for expansion of the museum store.

$25,000 to Pikes Peak Behavioral Health Group for its Brand Awareness Campaign.

$10,000 to Colorado Springs Conservatory Foundation for general support.

$10,000 to Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra for 2007-2008 Family Classics series.

$10,000 to Griffith Centers for Children for its capital campaign to purchase two transitional homes in the Colorado Springs area and to remodel a lodge in Larkspur.

$8,000 to Colorado Springs Children's Chorale for educational outreach programs; includes Adopt-a-School, Tuition Assistance, School Blitz Days and Eastern Plains Youth Choir.

$7,500 to Court Care for the Pikes Peak Region for licensed child care providers.

$5,000 to Girl Scouts - Wagon Wheel Council to provide financial assistance to girls from low-income families.

$2,500 to Rocky Mountain Field Institute to support Garden of the Gods Community Stewardship and Restoration Program.
