Newly Launched Bedrock Fund Awards More Than $7.2 Million in Inaugural Grants
Today, Inasmuch Foundation announces the launch of Bedrock, an invitation-only fund focused on supporting transformational initiatives across Oklahoma.
Through its inaugural round of grantmaking, Bedrock has committed more than $7.2 million to 12 organizations and initiatives working to strengthen communities and create lasting impact.
All grants distributed are approved by Inasmuch Foundation's Board of Directors, ensuring the same accountability our partners have come to expect.
Inaugural Bedrock Grantees
City Care
To strengthen housing and supportive services for people experiencing homelessness in Oklahoma City.
“Ending homelessness requires more than providing a place to sleep for the night. It requires walking alongside people with the housing, services, and support they need to achieve lasting stability. This investment strengthens our ability to do that work in Oklahoma City and to continue building a community where every neighbor has the opportunity to move from homelessness toward a safe, stable, and hopeful future.”
City of Oklahoma City OKC Humane Care Advancement Initiative
To expand professional staffing and strengthen animal care within Oklahoma City’s shelter system.
“This investment comes at an exciting time for animal welfare in Oklahoma City. As OK Humane works to raise the resources needed for a new state-of-the-art adoption and education center, we are thrilled to partner with the City of Oklahoma City to strengthen the broader system of care for animals across our community. Together, we have an opportunity to create lasting improvements that will benefit animals and the people who love them for years to come.”
Curbside Enterprises
To expand employment opportunities for individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty.
“Employment is one of the most powerful pathways out of homelessness, but too often the people we serve face barriers that make traditional employment difficult to access. At Curbside, we create opportunities for people to earn income, build skills, and regain the stability and confidence needed to move forward. This investment will help us expand those opportunities and give more of our neighbors a meaningful pathway out of homelessness and poverty.”
Focus on Home
To help furnish homes for families transitioning out of homelessness.
“Moving into housing is an extraordinary milestone for a family that has experienced homelessness, but an empty house does not yet feel like home. By partnering with organizations already walking alongside these families, Focus on Home is able to provide the furniture and household essentials that help them begin this next chapter with dignity and stability. This investment will help us ensure more Oklahoma City families have not just a roof over their heads, but a place that truly feels like home.”
Fuel OKC
To increase the number of high-quality public schools serving Oklahoma City students.

Fuel OKC is focused on increasing the number of high-quality public schools serving Oklahoma City families and ensuring more students have access to an education that prepares them to thrive. This investment will allow us to partner with schools across Oklahoma City and to continue building the conditions for excellent schools to grow and succeed across our city.”
Greater Oklahoma City Chamber
To develop a regional strategy to strengthen education and workforce outcomes through a partnership with CivicLab.
“Oklahoma City’s continued growth depends on our ability to build a strong talent pipeline and create clear pathways from education to meaningful careers. Through our work with CivicLab, we are bringing employers, educators, and community leaders together to think boldly about what is possible and develop a shared regional strategy. This investment gives us the opportunity to move beyond individual efforts and build a more coordinated system that better serves students, employers, and our region.”
Heartland Forward
To launch rootED Oklahoma pilot connecting rural students to college, career, and workforce pathways.

John Rex Charter School
To support the capital campaign and development of a new public high school in downtown Oklahoma City.

Lilyfield
To strengthen services that help children and families build safe, stable, and healthy homes. Lilyfield's Oklahoma City Family Resource Center is located in the Historic Stockyards and serves South OKC.

This investment and our two generation approach centered in Stockyards City allows us to continue meeting families where they are and providing the support they need to create safe, healthy, and nurturing homes where children can thrive.”
Mental Health Association Oklahoma
To expand mental health, housing, and supportive services in Oklahoma City.
“Mental health, housing, and stability are deeply interconnected, particularly for our neighbors experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This investment will strengthen Mental Health Association Oklahoma’s work in Oklahoma City, helping us connect more people to safe housing, mental health services, and the ongoing support they need to build stable lives. We are grateful for an investment that recognizes that lasting change comes from addressing the whole person.”
Pivot
To develop a research-informed approach to helping youth achieve lasting stability and permanency.
“Every young person deserves more than having their immediate needs met. They deserve the relationships, stability, and opportunities that allow them to build the future they envision for themselves. This investment will allow Pivot to develop a research-informed approach to permanency that builds on what we have learned from decades of working alongside young people. Our goal is to better understand what creates lasting stability and connection so more young people can reach their full potential.”
ReMerge
To help mothers facing incarceration build pathways to recovery, stability, and family reunification.

Bedrock will operate as an invitation-only fund, allowing the Foundation to identify and invest in opportunities that align with its commitment to strengthening Oklahoma communities and advancing momentum transformational solutions.
