During the recent interruption of federal SNAP benefits, Inasmuch Foundation distributed nearly $55,000 in emergency food security funding to 23 Oklahoma nonprofits to help ensure families could continue putting food on the table.

The grants included general operating support for nonprofits working to keep food and essential services accessible statewide and grocery gift cards to locally owned stores for 485 SNAP-eligible employees - helping families put food on the table while supporting small businesses and stimulating the local economy.

This funding was part of a coordinated statewide response between philanthropic organizations, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, and community partners such as Hunger Free Oklahoma and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.

'The Oklahoma Standard shows itself most clearly when challenges arise," said Bob Ross, Chairman and CEO of Inasmuch Foundation. "Public, private, and nonprofit partners mobilized without hesitation, making sure families had reliable access to food throughout this interruption."
